Always have a great time shopping at Academy Sports. Maybe going there in the morning for this 4th of July to grab some worms for early morning fishing before things get crowded at the lakes for this Holiday.

Hope you have your phone with you to look up prices. The store is a mess, things are out of place or not where they should be and it’s hit or miss if you can find a price on anything. Staff walk around on their phones but don’t bother to pick things up and help keep the store looking nice. Unfortunate.

I am a frequent shopper at Academy stores, but this one disappoints me. The bathrooms were dirty, toilet paper, and stuff on the floors and toilets left unflushed. The fitting rooms had so many clothes left in them that you had to move them to be able to sit down and there was no place to hang what you were trying on. Clearly, there is a lack of proper management at this store. The racks look uncapped in their clothes thrown everywhere.

I’m writing to share my experience at this store. The cashier was very friendly, but unfortunately, the manager, Heather, wasn’t. She made me feel embarrassed by insinuating I put a clearance sticker on a shirt, which was clearly glued to it. I was shocked and felt like I had to explain myself. I bought more items than I had originally intended, and I’m a loyal customer who always shop here for my family. It’s disappointing that Heather didn’t handle the situation professionally and didn’t honor the price on the tag. I have a feeling that if my skin color was the same as hers, she would have handled it differently. Prayers for Heather so she can be a better manager some day .😊

A clean store with a profusion of items for most sports. The quality is low to low medium grade, but it is better equipment than Wal-Mart. It is a little pricy for the caliber of gear that you can purchase here. They have a comprehensive selection of men and women's sport and hunting habiliments. I'm giving this a 3 star rating bcuz one it's too pricy for the quality, and two a employee and a manager both hassled me about taking pictures and the manager wanted to know specifically why I was taking them. I was thinking it's none of your business what I do with my phone, but I told him it was for a Google review and he didn't even know what I was talking about anyway, but it still chapped my behind that he asked so many questions about me snapping some photos while I shopped around the store. It's a rather prodigious store so I took quite a few photos.
